Welcome to the GERBI HÜÜS
Gerbi-Hüüs is a typical house of the Goms valley, built in 1792. Right next to the house stands the barn, which was used to keep crop and hay during winter times, called “Spycher”, built in 1697. The buildings are located in the lovely village of Reckingen, in the sunny area called « Spitz ».
Between May 2012 and October 2013 extensive renovation works took place in order to renovate the house and transform the barn into an appartment. The result are 2 modern appartments each on 2 floors in the house and a cozy and charming appartment in the barn over 3 floors.
All appartments have two bedrooms, two bathrooms (with either shower or bathtube), living room, modern kitchen, with dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine, free WIFI, and have access to a general access part in the basement which includes a sauna.
Little was changed on the facade, not only because we had no right to do so, but simply because the wood was in an impeccable state, despite its age. The interior merges the old with the modern, and welcomes everybody to enjoy its stay in the valley. Come and enjoy your stay in historical buildings.
We are looking forward to welcoming you in Reckingen!
